Ζεστή κουβερτούλα - Bobble stitch baby blanket

Θυμάστε αυτή την κουβερτούλα ?? Την έπλεξα πέρυσι το χειμώνα όταν περίμενα τον μπεμπούλη μου και τελικά εκτός του ότι βγήκε όμορφη, αποδείχτηκε και απίστευτα ζεστή και χρήσιμη! Ο μικρός δε τη λατρεύει και δε την αποχωρίζεται όλη μέρα (τώρα που έχει ψύχρα,όχι με τον καύσωνα). ήταν μάλιστα και η πρώτη που τον ζέστανε βγαίνοντας από το μαιευτήριο !!

Αποφάσισα λοιπόν και έφτιαξα άλλη μια...αρκετά μεγαλύτερη και από νήμα 100% μαλλί που σημαίνει και αρκετά πιο βαριά και ζεστή. Όσο για τα χρώματα....διάλεξα ακριβώς τα ίδια με το καρότσι του για να είναι ασορτί και να τον συνοδεύει στις καθημερινές βόλτες του όταν ο καιρός είναι ψυχρός.

Ομολογώ πως πήρε αρκετό χρόνο μιας  και η συγκεκριμένη βελονιά θέλει και προσοχή άρα περισσότερη ώρα αλλά το αποτέλεσμα αξίζει το κάθε λεπτό !!! Άλλωστε όταν την έπλεκα είχα απεριόριστο ελεύθερο χρόνο -  την έφτιαξα όταν είχα μπει στο μήνα μου και καθόμουνα όλη μέρα...περασμένα μεγαλεία...

Remember that baby blanket?? My little one loved it so much i had to make him another one!! This one is made from 100% cotton yarn which makes it heavier and warmer and is also a bit larger in size. Bobble stitches everywhere!!! Ive been working on this blanket secretly for some time now....my first baby crochet project and im in love with it!!! its very soft and cuddly and the bobbles make it look so cute and happy. its very warm too!
Just 4 different colours of acrylic yarn (i asked for a yarn that's especially for babies) and a great pattern that you can find here for free !!!!

What better way to start the new year than with a new crochet project ?? My dear friend Natassa spent her Christmas holidays with us and brought me a huge bag full of yarns....different colours and kinds and all lovely...such an amazing gift!!! So i decided to start making things and first of all a brand new crochet blanket...this time im making granny squares with puff flowers in the middle. Don't they look lovely???

im making only two variations and this is how im gonna stitch them together in the end....so colourful and happy !!

Jacquie has a super cute and helpful blog that i follow daily...in fact it's one of those that made me want to learn how to crochet...

So us you all understand i'll be spending my cold afternoons crocheting more and more squares till i have more than enough....and something tells me it wont take much long ;)

a bit late....

 Well its a bit late but i really wanted to show you how some of my crochet ornaments turned out....all made with simple acrylic yarn and a few beads and buttons...
and what about these super cute felt ornaments?? my friend Ioanna made them for me and i absolutely love them!!!!

crochet bag

This is my first ever crochet bag!!! I had a few simple granny squares that i didn't know how to use and i decided to crochet them together and make a tote bag. It was very easy to make and i only used three different colours of yarn. The bottom lines are made with single crochet stitches and the rest of the bag with double crochet stitches. The granny squares were pretty easy to make to, i will post a link to the tutorial as soon as i find it !!! (if i don't find it i will write it down for you!).
Its really a summer bag, i cant see myself using it now cause most of my winter clothes are grey and black but im already thinking of making a winter version of it...a bit bigger and with darker colours.

meet Ginger !!

Its been so hot these days that i couldn't even get near my laptop...but i missed you guys...i missed my blog friends and all my favorite blog reads so i had to come back...

i spent most of my time inside...I'm a real couch potato me...but not just watching tv...i did a lot of crocheting and finished a few new projects that i will post here in the next days...I'm thinking of posting one or two every week...

so the first one is Ginger!!! my second crochet doll with long blond hair and a bright orange dress with green and blue stripes (and matching little buttons). i think she's pretty cute! 
she's best friends with my first doll- that i decided to name Lucy after so many of you asking about her name!!!

crochet...DOLL !!!!!

ok...i don't like to brag but this is my best crochet project so far and im crazy proud of myself !!!!
It was a very hot weekend with nothing to do and i decided to try and make a crochet doll...no pattern again...i just started crocheting each part separately and then sewed them together...i had no plan about the dress either...i just made up my mind while crocheting...
and after a couple of hours this is what i had....
i love her so much that im already making a second one with different colours...im gonna make a whole collection with many clothes and accessories...yes yes yes...i m gonna be a crochet toy maker and im not changing my mind!! this is what i wanna do and im gonna give it my best !!!!
