made...Baby Blanket !!

Bobble stitches everywhere!!! Ive been working on this blanket secretly for some time now....my first baby crochet project and im in love with it!!! its very soft and cuddly and the bobbles make it look so cute and happy. its very warm too!
Just 4 different colours of acrylic yarn (i asked for a yarn that's especially for babies) and a great pattern that you can find here for free !!!!

making a new painting

Hello dear friends!!!  So many things going around here these days...we started buying the baby stuff, finished painting and cleaning the room and had a car accident!!! just a few minutes from our home a very "responsible" driver thought that stop signs are not for him and we crashed right on his jeep...it wasn't our fault and there was nothing we could do to avoid him....i spent 2,5 hours in hospital just to check that the baby is ok...and thank God we're all safe....we are so lucky the airbags didn't open and the seat belts kept us unharmed...
back to happier things now, i just started making a new painting...this one for the baby room...although i wanted to have it in the living room but mrB says its way too silly !! hehehe....
in a couple of days ill have it ready and i will share a better picture with you!

painting the baby room !!!

Oh! im sooo happy, soooo excited!!! We finally started making the baby room...painting of course is the first thing to do and mrB is doing all the work cause i can barely move these days...
we were thinking something grey or green...blue is too common....and in the end we chose this very light and warm green/blue colour...a great contrast for all the decorations and toys that will fill the room. white would also make a great contrast but for some reason i just cant stand white walls...they feel so empty to me...although they look great on photos...

tomorrow mrB is going to paint some little details left and then a good cleaning will be my job...and its not gonna be easy...just take a look at the floor...oh mrB can be so clumsy some times...i hope some warm soap will do the job...there's paint everywhere!!!
and then..on Thursday we'll go and buy all the baby stuff needed...a crib and a dresser, curtains, photo frames and toys....i have it all planned in my head but do feel free to advice us !!!!we are not really sure whats necessary or not...

making a new blanket

What better way to start the new year than with a new crochet project ?? My dear friend Natassa spent her Christmas holidays with us and brought me a huge bag full of yarns....different colours and kinds and all lovely...such an amazing gift!!! So i decided to start making things and first of all a brand new crochet blanket...this time im making granny squares with puff flowers in the middle. Don't they look lovely???

im making only two variations and this is how im gonna stitch them together in the end....so colourful and happy !!
these granny squares are pretty easy to make and if you wanna give it a go you can find the pattern here.
Jacquie has a super cute and helpful blog that i follow daily...in fact it's one of those that made me want to learn how to crochet...

So us you all understand i'll be spending my cold afternoons crocheting more and more squares till i have more than enough....and something tells me it wont take much long ;)
